Saturday… I honestly did not even know what day of the week it was until someone said something at dinner time! It has been a crazy few days, but crazy in a good way. Today was a day filled with team spirit and information sessions. If we were not creating a cheer and dance with our team, then we were hearing about internships or student government. And then in between all that we eat! The food here so far really isn’t all that bad. They have a lot of variety… pizza, hot dogs, pasta, veges, etc. I must say though that eating in the cafeteria has definitely become and will even more become a social time, not so much just for eating. My two favorite things in one place, talking and eating… YESSSS!!!
After dinner me, Kasey, and her roommate Angela all went over to K-Mart to get stuff for our rooms. It was fun, but I got my first dose of homesickness. It just randomly hit me while we were shopping. I definitely miss my home and friends, but I am also having an awesome time here. I mean it is hard not to have a good time in a place where every night there is a dance party! Tonight it was Hawaiian themed with snow cones! That’s right, snow cones! Oh yeah today was the first really hot day I have had, and let me tell you, I bought a fan at K-Mart! I walked outside of the dining hall and just started to drip with sweat! NASTY!!! This is probably the main reason I miss Cali!
