The Living Center

God is the living center of everything we are and everything we do. He is before, behind, over, and beneath everything. If we separate any part of our lives from Him, we are left holding an empty bag. Nothing can stand on its own as a good, apart from God. Anything wrenched from its context in God's creation and God's salvation is without substance. It is either God or nothing. No idea, no feeling, no truth, no pleasure can exist on it's own.

I like it, Eric. The whole battle between what we perceive as reality and the actual -- God's actual. God's reality. Everytime I think of this the mental imagery Lewis paints in "The Great Divorce" of man's inability to walk upon the blades of grass is striking. "The Living Center", I like it, thanks for sharing.

Hey man, Im a christian and I want to say im 13 and just last friday i went to a church camp and I gave my life up to the wonderful Lord and now every breath that I take in Worship, I can feal the Holy Spirit, its so amazing.
Im listening to a cd right now and im worshiping while im typing, im so happy for christians, but ya man i like you post Eric. Im so hungry for god do u know any like ways to get more out of him?? Its like swimming in a 50ft pool wearing a wool coat, and you cant get up to the top because the wool jacket is so heavy and it represents your sins, you have to get them off one at a time, And the way I see it is if you just keep on trying to get up thats how u know u have desire, Im trying to get to the top just for one breath!(the same as me trying to go all the way with god just to get one incredebly fealing) So Eric or Joel, or Sarah, or whoever, can you help me out here? :)
